ScienceDirect e Mendeley para a PUC-Rio

No dia 12/05/2020 houve um treinamento online através da Biblioteca Central da PUC-Rio (DBD) sobre ScienceDirect e Mendeley ministrado pela representante da Elsevier.

 Interessante saber que o ScienceDirect tem uma opção de alerta para palavras chaves que envia, na periodicidade escolhida, um email alertando que um novo material foi publicado e está relacionado com as palavras chaves de busca. 

 Outra dica que pode ajudar muito é que o Mendeley tem a opção de criar uma sincronização entre uma pasta do computador (watched folder) e o ambiente online. Assim, em caso de download de algum documento de interesse da pesquisa nessa pasta, uma cópia é enviada para a pasta no Mendeley. 

 A integração do Mendeley com o Word para citações tem diversas funcionalidades bem interessantes que fornecem flexibilidade ao estilo de formatação de citações.

Connected Papers: Uma abordagem alternativa para revisão da literatura

Durante um projeto de pesquisa podemos encontrar um artigo que nos identificamos em termos de problema de pesquisa e também de solução. Então surge a vontade de saber como essa área de pesquisa se desenvolveu até chegar a esse ponto ou quais desdobramentos ocorreram a partir dessa solução proposta para identificar o estado da arte nesse tema. Podemos seguir duas abordagens:  realizar uma revisão sistemática usando palavras chaves que melhor caracterizam o tema em bibliotecas digitais de referência para encontrar artigos relacionados ou realizar snowballing ancorado nesse artigo que identificamos previamente, explorando os artigos citados (backward) ou os artigos que o citam (forward)  Mas a ferramenta Connected Papers propõe uma abordagem alternativa para essa busca. Knowledge Graph Toolkit (KGTK)
